List Building is an absolute necessity. It is a way to build a relationship with a prospect that you could not
ordinarily build. It doesn't matter what type of business you operate, online or offline. A list of targeted
prospects is a must. You set up your site and got a prospect to visit it, now you must "harvest" their email address so that you may keep them informed of
new products or services that they might be interested in.
TIP: It doesn't matter what type of business you are in,
having a list of prospects is invaluable. Say you own an HVAC company and do business locally, you could offer energy saving tips from your website to build your list,
then use that list for specials, like a 15% savings on a spring time air conditioner
inspection special when you call before the busy summer season.
LIST BUILDING IS A MUST!
You will need a follow up auto-responder. This will allow you to have a series of pre written messages that will automatically follow up with your prospects. (

that potential buyers need to be in front of a product an average of seven times before they will purchase.)
Setting one up is easy and will allow you to close sales on auto pilot.
Make sure you have a sign up form on your site. Most good auto-responders have a form making tool to make it
easy for prospects to sign up and be put into your message sequence. Simply design your form, then add the code to your website. Offer them something of value to join your
mailing list so that you can start to build a relationship with your prospects. You can offer them a trial version of your product,
or an eBook with information related to your product/service. Be creative, just make sure it is something with a high perceived value. Have a prominently displayed Privacy Policy and make sure you let prospects know their information is safe. People
do not like their email address or other information being shared with anyone, reassure them you will not sell or share their information with anyone.
